Don’t forget the food on your bridal invitations!

Bridal Shower Invitations - Free Information

The maid of honor is the person that throws the bridal shower for the bride, the problem with this tradition is that the maid of honor has so many responsibilities that they tend to forget things – like mentioning the food on the bridal invitations, in this article we will outline some ways to avoid this mistake!

One thing that will really help the maid of honor out when it comes to the bridal invitations is having a ‘bridal invitation party’. This is where each and every member of the wedding party show up (or at least the brides maids) to assist the maid of honor in printing out (if you are taking that route) or filling out the bridal invitations, stuffing them in envelopes, labeling them and finally stamping each and every one so they can be mailed out the next day. If you throw a ‘bridal invitation party’ then there will be multiple eyes on the bridal invitations so there is no way to miss the fact that no food is mentions on the bridal invites.

Now, when we say do not forget to mention the food on the bridal invitations, we do not expect you to print off the entire menu for the guests, just a little preview of the menu printed on the bridal invitations would be acceptable and all around a great idea. This will prevent the guests from bringing their own food unless specified in the bridal invitation. Also, a preview of what is on the menu for the bridal shower will probably increase the RSVP response and more people will show up.

If you are having a light an airy menu and not serving a whole lot of filling foods, that should be mentioned on the bridal invitations so people are not expecting to get full from the bridal shower. For example, you could add something like ‘appetizers only will be served, along with lots of drinks!’, this will make it seem like you are looking out for the guests well-being and that they should probably eat before-hand.

Now if you are serving a lot of very filling food, you want to include this in the bridal invitations, this way you can warn the guests not to eat before-hand because there will be a lot of food for them to get full from.

Now that you have all the tips and tricks for not forgetting to add the menu onto the bridal invitations, do not forget them – just throw a bridal invitation party and have the bridal party assist with the bridal invitations, include some details about the menu and warn people whether they should or should not eat before the bridal shower and you should be good!
