Silk Flowers vs Fresh Flowers
By Debbie Washburn
Silk Bridal Bouquets vs. Fresh
Your Wedding Day is one of the most important days of your life. We have dreams of grandeur, beauty and elegance for that one special day. However, many times, we don't realize the cost of such beauty. The beauty we may have seen on TV or at friends wedding's.
There are many ways to have the same beauty without the high price. Knowing where these areas are to save and cut cost is not always easily recognizable, especially if you have not been around or exposed to wedding planning. Some brides to be have family members to direct them, since they may have already gone through the process, however, some may not. This is for those who do not have that easily available to them.
First of all, Fresh flowers are beautiful, and with the right skill and know how they can make a wedding stand out far above many. They really are one of the most popular items used to decorate a wedding. However, fresh flowers cost can be astronomical. Sometimes you can find a wholesaler, but even then they are costly.
So let's look at the pros and cons of fresh flowers first.
FRESH FLOWERS:
Pros:
*Beautiful to Look at. *Very nice aroma - up close. *Represent Life
Cons:
* Expensive * Seasonal * For a nice arrangement, needs a professional. * Should be arranged the day before or the morning of wedding. * There needs to be continued nurturing to keep from wilting or drooping.
SILK FLOWERS:
Pros:
* Many times can be mistaken as real. * Usually can get your chosen flower any time of the year. * With proper instruction, almost anyone can make an arrangement. * Can be arranged way in advanced and stored properly weeks prior to wedding. *Once done, you can check item off list, so less to worry about just prior to that DAY. * You can usually buy at wholesale, therefore saving cost. * You don't have to worry about delivery and setup. * You can set-up as soon as you get access to church and reception hall.
Cons:
* If they are too cheap, they look cheap, not real. * No aroma. * It's not the real thing.
I hope this helps you in your decision, whether to use fresh or silk flowers at your wedding
