Wording your Bridal Invitations
If you are the maid of
honor it is your responsibility to throw the bride a bridal
shower – some things that you may not be aware of is that
you also have to pick out, address, label, word and ship out
all of the bridal invitations. While that does not exactly
sound like a hugely difficult task, wording the bridal
invitations may be a little hard if you do not have a good
grasp on the English language.
In this article, we will outline a few of the choices you
have as far as the wording of your bridal invitations go, we
will explore the formal and casual way to word your bridal
invitations so you can feel more experienced and be
confident in your phrase choices!
If you are throwing a casual bridal shower the wording on
the bridal invitations does not have to be formal and you
can actually have fun with it! Things like: “Jenny’s just
about to be done with being single! Come join her for her
bridal shower … don’t forget the gift!” Would be an
excellent example of some great, fun and all around casual
wording for your casual bridal shower, now if the bridal
shower was a bit more formal, you will need to adjust your
wording on your bridal invitations.
Some of the wording for formal bridal invitations may
include: “Andrea Smith & Jane Doe Request the Pleasure of
Your Company at a Bridal Shower.” Then you spell out the
date and the time. This makes the bridal invitation more
elegant and your guests will be extremely impressed by how
formal and great looking it is.
The next thing that you may be curious about is the registry
information, should you include it or not is the usual
question in peoples mind. Well, in most cases you do not
want to include the registry information in the bridal
invitations, as it is a bit tacky, but you can add onto your
wording something like ‘Heather is registered at Bed Bath
and Beyond’, so that why the guests will know where to go to
get their gifts.
You will also want to only include on RSVP contact phone
number in your bridal invitations, if you include two of
them, the guests may get confused and this can cause a lot
of unnecessary problems.
There are just some examples of wording for a formal or
casual bridal invitation along with some other points that
you should take into consideration when preparing your
bridal invitations – just remember to include on RSVP
contact number and you can put the registry on there, just
make it one line and one store.
